Cabin Plans

Cabin House PlansI love this poem Will. The cabin by the lake should be a very special place with some very special reminiscences.

At 1,260 square feet, the home features two massive rooms downstairs, a household room and an office. The upstairs holds three bedrooms and a bathroom. A separate kitchen was situated behind the cabin. It was customary to maintain the kitchen separate from the house to cut back the risk of fire and because kitchens have been highly regarded. Prior to the 1930s, there was no indoor plumbing and an outhouse was situated close by. Part of the big porch was enclosed in the Fifties to assemble a new kitchen and bathroom (now removed). After the principle house was built, the smaller cabin was used as separate bedrooms and later as a utility room. Descendants of the Sams family lived right here till 1996.

With solely two children remaining at house and an empty nest excellent across the corner, we’ve decided we do not wish to construct an extravagant residence with a number of maintenance or one which pushes the limits of a retirement finances.. After hours of discussions, we have agreed to 1500-1700 square toes, three bedrooms, at the least two baths, a loft, and a wrap round porch.

The house’s contemporary brilliance is seen within the dramatic floor-to-ceiling home windows, designed to catch sunlight throughout the day. Spacious open-concept design opening to a gracious yard and deck makes this home excellent for entertaining. The house has a primary ground with a terrific room, large mud room and a grasp with ensuite, a large screened in porch with a fireplace to extend the outside season. The upstairs loft holds 2 additional bedrooms, a full bathtub and a large bunkroom for overflow sleeping.

The Kodiak from Katahdin Cedar Log Homes of Oakfield, Maine is a comfortable 1,580 square feet house that includes three bedrooms – two downstairs and the master bedroom upstairs with a balcony loft overlooking the spacious great room beneath. The three-quarters wraparound porch is only partially covered providing both entrance porch serenity and leisure deck area.
