When I think of Colonial America, I think of a log cabin. I am unsure if it comes from reading Little House on the Prairie as a kid or when I used to play with my brother’s Lincoln Logs, but the picture at all times caught. Unfortunately I don’t seem to see a variety of log cabins driving via New England but this historically vital architectural type actually should not be ignored.
These house plans are very detailed. From the big lounge to the great measurement kitchen. However, what stands out most about these ground plans is the longer term plans for an addition. In part by the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and in part from my adventures floating down the Farmington river in Windsor, CT with my friends. We had been in search of some added weekend adventures and were tiring of our 14 foot plain inexperienced canoe. The calm, cool, cautious movement of the water’s present had become blasé.
